Cockburn Basketball Association (CBA), located at Wally Hagan Stadium in Hamilton Hill, is a 50-year old Basketball WA affiliated club. The Cougar Family values inclusion, enjoyment, and excellence, translating to people, family and basketball. In that order. The Association proudly has more than 2,800 members across 320 competition teams, 28 representative teams, two NBL1 programs, and Australia’s largest Aussie Hoops programs.
NBL1 Australia is the national second-tier basketball competition in the country, with every game live-streamed and a number of games shown directly on Kayo Sports. This has exposed state-league basketball like never before, exposing the Cockburn Cougars to an entirely new audience. The Dentistry Plus Cougars are a part of the NBL1 West conference.
The Cockburn Basketball Association is searching for a sports-mad content creator who is committed, determined and excited about providing quality content to our community on game-day and weekly basis.
This role would report weekly directly the the Chief Executive Officer, and on game nights, direct to the Operations Manager.
Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated experience with social media platforms including twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok (Essential)
- A basic understanding of the Photoshop and the ability to quickly create content on the fly (Desirable)
- A love of sport and a passion for creative content that pops to the community!
Position Availability
March-September.
19 Rounds + Finals of the NBL1 season (1 or 2 games per week), including away games – 5 hrs per game.
1x Weekday for up to 4 hours (this can be broken up)
Location
Game day requires on the ground content (including away games), while weekly content can be done on or off-site.
Remuneration
An honourarium payment of up to $1,500 will be made to reimburse costs associated with the role.
