 Women’s Preview:

The Dentistry Plus Cougars Women will be looking to bounce back from a loss to Joondalup with a confidence-boosting weekend against the Redbacks followed by the Slammers. The Cougars beat the Redbacks at home earlier in the season thanks to huge games from Jessie Edwards (36) and Taylah Simmons (22) and will be hoping to replicate that strong performance in an essetiantly must-win game for the Cougars. Ruby Benn will have a tough defensive assignment against scoring machine Makailah Dyer (21.8ppg). The Cougars will be back at Wally Hagan for their final home and away game against the winless Slammers and will be looking to pick up some momentum heading into the finals.

Men’s Preview:

The Dentistry Plus Cougars Men have two must win games in and will be hoping for the Joondalup Wolves to slip up in one of their last games. The Cougars will need leaders Nic Pozolgou, Gavin Field, Seva Chan and Jaarod Holmes to step up against the likes of Marshall Nelson, Louis Timms, Isaac Gattorna-Hargrave and Tevin Jackson it what should be a very entertaining match. The match will also be a big milestone for Cougars legend Seva Chan’s who will play his 200th match. The Redbacks just got the upper hand in the previous game but the Cougars have been rising since then and will put everything on the line to keep their season alive. The Cougars then return home to play the Slammers and will need to take care of business to ensure they can take the Wolves spot in the finals race.
