Vote at Your Local Election for Our Club’s Future

Dear Cougar Community, 

On Saturday 18 October 2025, the City of Cockburn will vote for a new Mayor. This choice is especially important for all of us in the Cougar community because the next Mayor will have a big say in the Wally Hagan Redevelopment- our future stadium and home.

Why it matters:

The mayor elected on 18 October will help decide whether and how the final portion of funding for our new stadium is secured.

A supportive mayor increases the likelihood that the project will move forward swiftly and get you into your new stadium faster.

This project will mean:

• More courts for our growing Cougar community.
• A modern, safe facility for athletes of all ages and abilities.
• A central hub for families, volunteers and the wider community.

What you can do:

• Learn more about each candidate’s position on the redevelopment.
• Consider how a new stadium will benefit your family and community – from your child playing, to your own volunteering, to the shared experiences that bring us together.
• Vote carefully to ensure Cockburn basketball has the strong future it deserves.

How to Vote:

• Voting is by POSTAL VOTE only.
  
• Deadline: Saturday 18 October 2025, 6.00pm
  
• Return options:
  – Drop it off to a post box
  – Hand deliver to City of Cockburn Administration Building (Mon–Fri, 8.30am–4.30pm; also open on Election Day)
  – Hand deliver to Success Library during business hours (not on Election Day)
