Basketball Western Australia’s State Championships are held over FIVE weekends in November and December each year. Cockburn Basketball Association enters boys and girls teams in maximum of five (5) divisions for the below age groups.
- Under 11 – 2014 & Younger
- Under 13 – 2012 & 2013
- Under 15 – 2010 & 2011
- Under 17 – 2008 & 2009
- Under 19 (Men) – 2006 & 2007
- Under 20 (Women) – 2005, 2006 & 2007
Trials commence early October and are the entry point for most athletes in representative basketball for the Cockburn Cougars. Once selected, teams train until their allocated tournament weekend.
Tournament weekends consist of teams from associations all over Western Australia, with majority taking place at Bendat Basketball Centre (Bendat). Divisions 2-5 compete over the first four (4) weekends, with Championship division teams concluding the State Championships in the State Titles held in mid-December.
